I have made available waterfront real estate listings in the form of a catalog for more than 7 years. This catalog presents listings from several MLS' in Oregon and Montana. I added, with the help of my team, listings from agents and brokers in Idaho and Washington State at their request. I also feature on the front page my listings and other broker's or agent's waterfront listings with their office information for your convenience.
WHY?I felt there was a need to pick the listings from the thousands of listings in the different MLS (multiple listing services) that I am a paid member with permission to do so, to inform clients, and assist Brokers, and agents with this very specialized area of real estate. I didn't just pick out certain listings but provided information about the waterbody where the listing is located. My intention was and is to give my clients the best information to make an informed decision. It is also my intention to give agents and brokers an affordable method of advertising these special listings.
WHY EXPAND?It is no mystery that the market has changed markedly in the past year or two. The inventory is tremendous and the prices are finally falling in all markets. The waterfront buyer pool is smaller than it has been. I want to take the lead in the buyer options and seller options that are not available to buyers and sellers in a "one size fits all" franchises. My waterfront website has done well because it fits a need, in giving timely information about the waterfront market. At this time the market is full of foreclosures, and short sales. Buyers need to know what is a good value and why. Sellers need to know what programs are out there to help them. Having spent 7 years in three or more MLS's we see the trends not only in waterfront but in residential real estate as a whole. I am opening up my hometown market to buyers and sellers alike. I keep up with the history of the listings and know when that special listing is available.
